Lake of the Woods Golf Course

This place is fantastic! Great golf course! The staff is amazing! My friend and I played there and the staff went out of there way for us. We purchased drinks and went to get our golf cart. They were waiting for us with our drinks by the first tee! Everyone of the staff spoke to us and were extremely friendly! I highly recommend this golf course!

I’d rather speak to a human. *******************NEW POST****************** *******************NEW POST****************** After posting my review, I once again, tried to call and make a Tee Time for later on this afternoon and was told that we COULD phone in for our Tee Times at Lake of the Woods Golf Course, as I have done for over twenty years there. I thanked them for the information. A little later this afternoon, Dave Sebestik, the Pro from Lake of the Woods Golf Course, phoned me back to let me know that getting Tee Times for Lake of the Woods Golf Course does INDEED REQUIRE me to use their app to make my Tee Times. This really doesn’t need to be this difficult. He explained because I was a 5 Day Anniversary Pass Member, I was not allowed to use the phone to make my Tee Times, I would have to use the app. He went on to explain how the staff at the pro shop didn’t have the time to answer the phone to take Tee Times from Anniversary Pass Members. However, if your not an Anniversary Pass Member, you can call in and get your Tee Times. Seems reversed to me. They can count on my Membership money every year to help get the course ready from the winter season, before any revenue comes in from a walk on player. Yet, a walk on player can get his Tee Time immediately upon calling, if available. He can call in and make his reservation up to 7 days in advance. I can only make mine three days in advance. There are several other benefits to not being a member of The Lake of the Woods Golf Course, that I won’t bore you with here. Justified solely by giving the Anniversary Pass Member a reduced rate. Frankly, I’m not sure it’s worth it anymore. I’ve played at this course since 1989 and have spent a lot of money there just to be treated like a second class citizen for paying for a yearly pass. What a system. Customer Service has left the building! 🙁

LOTW is first class all around. Wonderful layout and an absolute blast. If you’re a person that appreciates golf, you’ll understand that budget prevails and sometimes the shape is not always what the staff wants or expects. But we live in reality. I bring a crew of guys down every year that amongst the group, they’ve played the nicest golf courses in America and beyond, and to a man, they would tell you they’d be hard-pressed to find a golf course they have a better time on than LOTW
